Dinky Toys re-painting

Can anyone recommend a UK Dinky Toys re-painting service?  I want to have my Dinky Toys no.581 Horse Box vehicle restored to a very high standard.  I need to have the model stripped to bare metal and then painted in the correct burgundy colour.  Can it be done without removing the factory attachments at the bottom?  I have the transfers and the tyres available.

Hello John,

Welcome to the club and it's forum.

I am afraid that to get an answer to your question you will probably have to wait until next year.

All the best.

Hello Jacques,

Dear me. Waiting until next year will really tax my patience! Can anyone help me in getting a quicker response. I am beginning to feel really depressed.

Best Regards.

John

Unless you know someone who enjoys doing restoration work as a hobby, it seems now that rather like real cars good quality restoration in time and materials would well exceed resultant values, suggesting that obtaining a better original example is more worthwhile, sentimental value notwithstanding.

I have restored many Dinky Toys, it is impossible to properly restore without dismantling completely.
