-898 Berliet semi-remorque porte transformateur [Berliet Articulated Transformer Carrier] (1961-1965)

After just receiving the tank transporter version this past week, I thought it would be kind of neat to picture it along with its civilian brother, the Berliet Transporter with Transformer. They are virtually identical, except for the paint color, and the wheels: the military version, being older, has the earlier ridged style, while the civilian model has the later concave style. Both are very impressive models to own and view!
Terry

Both empty, with no loads

Now showing the tank and transformer loads in place

And a closeup view of the wonderful detail on the rear area of the tractor unit

Hi Terry, as you show the rear and the coupling platform of the truck, it might be interesting to show the matching coupling mechanism of the trailer, which adopts the principle which was used already for the no. 36b Tracteur Will

Terry,

You can absolutely not reverse your AMX on the trailer. Always forward on Reversed off.

The tank transporter was also issued with concave hubs and Dunlop treaded plastic tyres.
