Hi all, I am trying to find out when the 234 Ferrari with the yellow triangle first came out. I enclose a picture of my very early example with blue ridged diecast rims where the yellow triangle is just painted on, no raised lines for allocation. Next to it is the more common version with the yellow ridged diecast hubs and with the raised lines. On the second picture you can see that both versions have the shiny black baseplate 234 riveted on. As Far as I know, the shiny black base plates were introduced in mid 1958, replacing the mottled base plates. Would therefore everybody agree that the first Ferrari with the yellow triangle was issued in 1958 only? Or does anyone have a yellow triangle Ferrari with a mottled baseplate? Best regards Walter
