Was the No 673 Daimler Scout Car ever issued in a non- picture box? Malcolm
As ever Dave thanks. Nice set of Trade Box/Pack. Malcolm.
For those who have a copy of Jacques Dujardin's Dinky Toy Catalogue CD there is a photo of a red/yellow box, without a picture, for this model. According to the information under the picture this box was "... used from December 1959 until August 1960 and probably until the model was discontinued in 1962".
Chris
Thank you Chris that's very helpful. Malcolm
The three versions of the Scout Car.
The first version on the left with no driver, the second version in the middle with the driver with splayed out arms, the final version on the right with the driver with parallel arms.
The first and second versions have smooth tyres, the third version has treaded tyres. As far as I am aware this model was never sold with a plastic driver or plastic hubs.
Dave
You can see on the version with only one hole that there is a mark where the hole should be. I wonder if this was a problem with the die.
Whatever, it was it is a fourth variation.
Thanks for that Chris
Dave
